Yasir Shah gets second position in ICC test ranking in just 11 matches


DUBAI: Pakistani spinner Yasir Shah has jumped to second position in latest ICC Test ranking in just eleven test matches.
He climbed to second in the ICC Test following tremendous performances against England in second test in which he took eight wickets.
Australian legend Shane Warne praised him for his outstanding performance. “I like the look of this leggie Yasir Shah, plenty of energy and nice variations of pace”, twitted Warne.
The 29-year-old leggie, who hails from Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, received this position in just 11 test matches and has 69 wickets in his bucket at an impressive average of 24.55, which also includes four five-wicket and five four-wicket hauls.
Pakistan’s newly crowned record Test scorer Younus Khan, captain Misbahul Haq and right-handed batsman Asad Shafiq have also reaped the rewards of good performances in the Dubai Test. Younus has returned to the top five at fifth, Misbah is knocking on the doors of the top 10 at 11th, while Shafiq is just one behind his skipper on a career-best 12th spot.
