Quetta blast leaves three policemen injured


QUETTA: A bomb blast targeting a police vehicle in Qambrani Road area on Wednesday injured at least three policemen.
Miscreants targeted a police mobile vehicle with Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was on routine patrol through a remote-controlled bomb, police sources said.
The IED was planted on roadside and detonated when the police vehicle passed by, they said.
The blast shook the entire area and wounded at least three police personnel. The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.
The blast also smashed glasses of nearby shops and houses in the area.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Qambrani road is considered to be one of the sensitive areas of Quetta. Militants in the past have targeted security forces and civilians in the area.
