PTI no-trust motion against Swabi tehsil nazim, naib succeeds


SWABI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vote of no confidence motion against teshil nazim and naib nazim of Swabi tehsil was succeeded on Wednesday.
As per details, the motion against the Swabi Democratic Alliance was succeeded with 16 councillors voting yes out of the total 22 members house. The motion moved by PTI and JI fetched 16 votes against tehsil nazim Wahid Shah, belonged to MPA Babar Saleem group and 15 votes against Awami National Party (ANP) naib nazim Gohar Shah.
After the voting, the jubilant councillors of local alliance greeted each other amid shouting.
They and their supporters after the voting torn copies of the motion forcing the police to take them out of the council hall. Wahid Shah claimed that the session was convened in violation of rules that was presided over by a member despite presence of speaker of the house.
Final notification of their disqualification as tehsil nazim and naib nazim would be decided by the Election Commission. They were accused of distributing funds in violation of merits.
