PHC summons AG for comments in Mashal Khan’s transfer case

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Wednesday issued notice to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advocate General Abdul Latif Yousafzi to appear before the court on Thursday to comment on application seeking to transfer Mahsal Khan’s lynching case from Mardan.
As per details, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Abdul Shakoor heard the plea filed by Abdul Lateef Afridi on the behalf of Iqbal Khan, father of Mashal Khan.
Iqbal Khan had requested to PHC to transfer his son case to the Anti-Terrorism Court, Haripur or any other safe place, citing possible threats from opponents.
After hearing the initial arguments, the PHC asked advocate general to appear before the court on Thursday to comments in this regard.
