Peshawar Premier League Kicks Off

PESHAWAR, 6 June: Peshawar Premier League Cricket Tournament has got underway in Peshawar in which 15 teams from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one team from FATA are taking part.

The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Bahrullah Advocate inaugurated the tournament at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Monday. The first match of the event was played between Peshawar Green and FATA. Peshawar while batting first scored 128 runs in the allotted 20 overs. FATA were batting on 30 runs after three overs when rain stopped the play and the match ended in a draw. Both the teams got one point each.

It is after six years that a hard-ball night tournament is being played at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.
