Maryam Nawaz summoned by JIT

ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT), mandated by Supreme Court to probe Sharif family’s business abroad under Panama verdict, has summoned Prime Minister Nawaz Shair’s daughter Maryam on July 5 to record her statement.
The JIT also called again prime minister’s sons-Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz- to appear before the team for further interrogation on the team on July 3 and July 4, respectively.
The joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Sharif family’s business dealings abroad has summoned Maryam Nawaz to appear before it for questioning for the first time.
In the summons addressed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, the JIT has asked Maryam to appear before it on July 5.
It will be the first appearance of Maryam Nawaz . Hussain, the premier’s elder son, has appeared before the JIT for questioning five times; whereas Hassan has been questioned three times.
JIT has also summoned cousin of PM, Tariq Shafi, on July 2 to make his second appearance before the six-member JIT.
The JIT is due to present its report before the apex court on July 10.
