Pakistan beat England in Dubai Test by 178 runs, lead series 1-0


DUBAI: Pakistan have finally clinched the victory in the 2nd Test of the series by beating the visiting England team by 178 runs on the fifth day of the match. English tail-enders fought with everything they had, the last 4 making the world record for facing most number of balls, Adil Rashid finally gave up just 6 and half overs before the end of the match.
Yasir Shah took 4 wickets and was also the lucky bowler to have taken out Adil Rashid to finally win it for Pakistan. Zulfiqar Babar got 3 wickets, Imran Khan claimed 2 while Wahab Riaz bagged 1 wicket in the 2nd innings. Adil Rashid showed exceptional resistance scoring 61 runs along with tail-enders like Stuart Broad (30), Wood (29) and James Anderson (0)* who avoided 29 balls without giving in. However, Adil Rashid finally gave in, trying to go hard at the bowler. He was caught by Zulfiqar Babar off Yasir Shah s bowling, ending Rashid s 179-ball watch that he had played without mis-hitting even a single ball before the last ball that he played.
Pakistan are now 1 up in the series and the third Test will be played from November 1 to 5.
