KP announces Rs 3 lakh compensation for families of those killed in earthquake


PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced compensation of Rs 3 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the deadly earthquake that left more than 200 people dead in the province.
The next of kin of those who lost their lives in various parts of the province due to the yesterday’s deadly earthquake shall receive compensation of Rs 3 lakh, said Mushtaq Ghani, special adviser to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
A compensation of Rs I lakh has also been announced for the injured and I lakh for fully demanged two-room house, Rs 80000 for signal room and Rs 30000 for boundary wall.
“We have dispatched 2000 tents, 1000 blankets and 2000 floor mats to flood-hit people of Chitral and other affected areas,” told Ghani.
