Journalists from twin city to stage sit-in against police tomorrow

Rawalpindi: Journalists of the twin city has announced to stage a sit-in outside of city police officers against police biased behaviours towards journalists.
Sports Journalists Association (RSJA) has said that that days earlier a journalist named Shahid Malik was attacked and tortured by land mafia in cantonment board Rawalpindi office.
After accident, he went to police station, but instead of loading an FIR against attackers, police registered an FIR against two others journalists visited with him for lodging the case, narrated Tanoli.
The journalists from Rawalpindi Crime Court and City Reporter Association (RCCCJA), Rawalpindi Sports Journalists Association (RSJA) and other associations will stage a sit-in on Saturday outside City Police officers’ office to register their protest.
“We will not call off our sit-in until police didn’t arrested the accused and rollback an FIR against journalists” he told The News Eye website.
Nadeem Tanoli accused that Pakistan Muslim League (N) PML-N MNA Malik Ibrar is backing the suspects and he is pressurizing police to take action against journalists instead of attacker.
