Five Policemen Suspended For Torturing Fruit Seller In Peshawar


PESHAWAR, 13 June: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General Police Salahuddin Mehsud has suspended five policemen, including a traffic warden, over torturing a fruit seller and ordered them to report to Police Line.

Police said these policemen had tortured a fruit seller at Fawara Chowk in Peshawar Cantt Bazaar two days ago. The police chief took notice of the matter after video of the incident went viral on the social media and asked the capital city police officer of Peshawar to investigate the case.

The five policemen were suspended after completion of investigation and they have been asked to report to Police Line.
