44 suspects arrested in Karachi raids


KARACHI: Rangers on early Tuesday morning have detained more than 44 suspects in different operations.
The paramilitary force carried out operations in Natha Khan and Pirabad areas. The personnel raided Natha Khan’s Hazara Goth on a tipoff regarding insurgents presence.
The Rangers sealed entry and exit points of the locality and searched at least 100 houses in the residential area. More than 20 suspects were detained during the search operation. The detainees were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
According to sources privy to the law enforcers, banned outfit’s operatives and drug dealers were among the detained persons.
On the other hand, Rangers operated in Manghopir’s Kunwari Colony and detained at least 22 suspected criminals. A targeted operation near Teen Hatti resulted in arrests of two wanted culprits.
Earlier on November 23, More than twenty suspects were detained during Rangers’ search operation in Essa Nagri and Purani Sabzi Mandi areas.
City Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fida Hussain had said that as many as three operatives of Uzair Baloch group were killed. Weapons were recovered from the killed miscreants, Jabbar alias Dada, Abdul Raheen alias Rani and Rizwan alias Rado.
