14 illegal Afghans among 50 arrested in Peshawar raids


PESHAWAR: Peshawar police on Wednesday conducted a search operation in Chamkani area of Peshawar and arrested at least 50 suspects, says police officials.
According to details, police carried an anti-terror raids in Chamkani areas in order to maintain law and order situation on the occasion of Chehlum of Imam Hussain.
During raids, the law enforcement agencies also arrested 14 Afghan nationals. The Afghan nationals were arrested for staying illegally or could not provide identification documents, said a police official.
The police claimed to have recovered weapons and drugs from them during search operation.
