Police seals LRH hostel building after Paramedics, doctors clash


PESHAWAR: Police on Monday sealed a hostel of Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar after dialogue between paramedical staff and doctors failed.
The police sealed the hostel when the talks between paramedical staff and doctors failed and turned into a clash after exchange of hatred arguments.
At least six paramedics and a doctor were injured in the scuffles that broke out in the wake of divergence.
The clash prompted police to interfere and baton-charge the protesters.
The paramedics discarded work and staged dissent outside the hospital site against suspected intrusion of LRH hostel by TMOs and doctors.
The groups, protesters and the doctors entered into disagreement over possession claims of hostel building.
Charged protesters also pelted hospital with stones, crushing glasses of the building. After a protest that lasted over two hours, the police vacated the hostel building and sealed it.
