Peshawar ATC jails two terrorists for 14-year in explosive substance case


PESHAWAR: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Peshawar has awarded 14-year imprisonment to two terrorist after they were convicted in a case for carrying explosives.
Shah Hussain and Aziz Jamal allies Mahaz were charged for possessing explosives and illicit weapons by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in April this year.
The police had caught red-handed Shah Hussain while Jamal had succeeded in fleeing.
Later police arrested him in a surgical raid.
The counter-terrorism personnel had also seized weapons and ammunition from their possession after arrests were made. The department had launched a chase in the ATC under Terrorism Act 1997.
The culprits have been shifted to Peshawar Central Jail after sentence today.
