Parachinar’s security handed over to Pak-Army


PARACHINAR: The political administration of the Kurram Agency on Tuesday handed over security of the Parachinar city to the Pakistan Army.

According to political administration, security of the violence hit city was handed over to the army on the demands of local elders after recently terror attacks that left at least 75 people dead and around 300 others wounded.
Deployment of the security forces at Parachinar was one of the key demands of the protesters who had staged a ten-day long sit-in in a protest of twin blasts.
The political administration said that army has takeover control of the check posts at entry and exit points of the city.
The security forces also organized practical exercise in the city in which Pak-Army personnel, fire brigades and hospital administration were participated.
According to political administration, FC troops would be placed at check posts outside the city to ensure security.
