LRH Technician Involved In Sexual Harassment Of Female Patient Suspended


The administration of Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) has suspended a technician allegedly involved in sexual harassment of a woman patient and formed a committee to further probe the matter.

The inquiry committee includes two doctors and one chief technician which will present its report to the hospital administration within a week. A notification issued from the office of the hospital’s director said the technician, Izat Khan has been found involved in unethical activities which is violation of healthcare ethical rules. The notification said the technician will remain suspended till completion of inquiry against him.

A woman hailing from Batkhela was brought to the hospital after she fainted few days ago. The woman was taken to laboratory for CT scan where she was allegedly harassed sexually by Izat Khan.

The LRH administration has also issued a new code of conduct to avoid such incidents in future. Under the new rules, a female technician will remain present in all laboratories where female patients come for tests.
