KP police demands Rs 3.46bn for CPEC security


PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has forwarded a summary to the provincial government demanding Rs 3.46 billion budget for the new security force formed for the protection of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor routes and Chinese individuals present in the country.
According to the summary forwarded by Inspector General of KP police to the provincial government, police demanded Rs 1.5 billion for the current fiscal year and above Rs 1.5 billion for the coming fiscal year.
The summary stated that the amount would be spent on payment of salaries, allowances, purchase of bulletproof vehicles, uniforms and other requirements of the special security force formed for the security of CPEC projects in the province.
