Imran should make CM Pervez Khattak accountable first: Ziaullah Afridi


PESHAWAR: Instead of making others accountable, PTI Chairman Imran should make Chief Minister Pervez Khattak accountable first, said PTI disgruntled MPA Ziaullah Afridi.
“Chief Minister is involved in corruption and illegal appointment,” alleges former minister for mines and minerals adding a committee of the provincial assembly has levelled 13 allegations on Bank of Khyber, however no inquiry was conducted into the BoK scandal.
He alleged that Bank of Khyber Managing Director Shams-ul-Qayyum was appointed by CM illegally and a confidential man of Pervez Khattak.
Demanding investigation into BoK scandal, he said that Pervez Khattak was involved in illegal hiring in the Bank of Khyber. Ziaullah said that Jamaat-e-Islami MPA and KP Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said is the one whom the Bank of Khyber administration has alleged of pressuring them and making illegal appointments. He alleged that Sirajul Haq and Imran Khan are letting Bank of Khyber drown to save the coalition government.
He accused Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq of befooling the nation in the name of accountability. “The KP Ehtesab Commission is not that one, which the PTI Chairman Imran Khan had promised for rooting-out corruption,” said Ziaullah Afridi, who was the very first victim of the commission.
Regarding his affiliation with PTI, Ziaullah said the KP Assembly records had him mentioned as an MPA of the party. The former minister said he has not decided to join any political party but would do so after consultation.
