Gen Raheel Sharif signs black warrants of APS attack terrorists


PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif has signed the black warrants of four terrorists involved in the Army Public School attack that left at least 152 people, mostly children, dead.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Raheel Sharif singed signed the black warrants of four terrorists that include, Maulvi Abdus Salam, Hazrat Ali, Mujeebur Rehman and Sabeel alias Yahya.
The militants of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had stormed the school on Dec 16, 2014, killing 152 students and teachers and injuring over 100. Several injured children injured are still under treatment.
In the wake of the APS carnage, military courts were set up for trying terrorists under amendments made to the Constitution and the Army Act.
This was the first sentence approved by the army chief following the Supreme Court’s August 2015 judgement giving legal cover to the establishment of military courts.
