PESHAWAR, 25 July: The FATA Super League Football Tournament will kick off in Peshawar on 11 September.
FATA Olympics Association President Shahid Khan Shinwari said while talking to media persons on the occasion of unveiling of shirt of FATA Super League on Monday that top 16 teams from FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will take part in the mega event. He said the winning team of the tournament will get cash prize of Rs500,000, runners up will get Rs300,000, and best goalkeeper, best player will also get cash prizes.
Shahid Khan said the purpose of organising the tournament is to provide a platform to football players to display their skills and make name for them and their country. He said the mega event will unearth new talent in football.
Shahid Khan also met Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Director General Junaid Khan. Junaid assured Shahid Khan of providing all facilities to players participating in the tournament including grounds and hostel facility.
The 16 teams of FATA Super League will be distributed into four groups. The ceremony of unveiling the logo and trophy will be held on 6 September.
