Attack on security checkpost in Mohmand Agency leaves one dead, two injured

GHALANI: At least one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed and two injured on Thursday when unidentified militants attacked a security checkpost in Mohmand Agency.
According to security officials, terrorists attacked at the security checkpoint in Sheikh Baba in the coastal area of Tehsil Safi in Mohmand Agency, killing one and injuring two others as result.
They said that the militants were from Afghanistan and fled after severe firing. The injured soldiers were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar through a chopper. The Pakistan Army has been engaged in a grand military operation – Zarb-e-Azb – against the militants in the tribal areas following a Tehreek-i-Taliban claimed attack on Karachi in June last year.
